The BBC is Britain’s best-known broadcaster, and with eight TV channels, more than a dozen national or international radio stations and countless local radio and internet services, it is no surprise that the BBC is a popular choice for graduates keen to work in the media. Although it does run occasional training schemes, there is no annual graduate recruitment and most graduates tend to enter the BBC through one-off vacancies advertised during the year. Few, if any, of these openings require applicants to be a degree-holder. The BBC is ranked No 5 in the 2007 Top 100 Graduate Employers survey.
